St. Augustine WebQuest
Introduction
You are a member of the IRES Detectives. It is your task to research and uncover clues about the mysterious city of St. Augustine. You are to uncover these clues by using all types of media resources. You may use books, encyclopedias, the internet, and other references that you may have in your classroom, at home, or in the Media Center. Please read your task carefully.
The Task
NOTE: READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE WEBSITE PRIOR TO STARTING YOUR WEBQUEST WORKSHEET!
You are going to use reference material and internet sites to discover the answers to many of the following questions. We are going to glue these pages in your Social Studies spiral notebook. The heading on your Social Studies pages should include your name, Social Studies: St. Augustine, and the date.

Then write a few sentences about where St. Augustine is located on a map of Florida. For example: List the nearby ocean, east or west coast, and any other important map fact.

When your Webquest is complete, you will process and transform the information you've gathered into a Power Point presentation (in class).
The Process
As you research the websites on the internet, you may use the links that are provided on the top left of the webquest. Please use the links provided. If you need more information, you may use text books, magazines, and reference materials in the Media Center or your local library. Please be sure to copy this information carefully. You are a detective and must list your evidence clearly.

Conclusion
As a member of the Indian River Detective Club, you will earn bucks for working cooperatively and staying on task during our research in the classroom and Media Center. Be sure to do your best. When you begin your slides in the Power Point project, a slide must be created for each topic on the worksheet.
