Homework is very important in the life of a young child. It is very important that you be involved with your child with his or her homework. Homework will be sent home in a packet on Fridays. This homework will be due on the following Friday.
In this packet will be spelling words, sight words, and vocabulary words. Please study these words nightly.
There is a sight word test on Thursdays. Your child must read these words to me. Remember these are sight words. No sounding out is allowed. Your child should be able to read these words in no more than 3 seconds. By reading these words by sight, your child's reading rate will improve.
There is a Spelling Test and End of Story Test on Friday.
