Welcome to Mrs. Sears' First Grade Safari! |
|
|
Classroom Discipline In our classroom, students are expected to be respectful of each other. We will have many lessons at the beginning of the year about what it means to be respectful.
Be Safe As a visual
in or classroom, there will be a behavior chart. Students will begin
with a numbered card in a pocket. They usually get at least one
verbal warning before they have to "turn" their card. (The reverse
side says Oops! Check your choices!) If they continue to make poor
choices, they must put up a ticket. Each ticket represents the poor
choice that has been made and is reported daily on their behavior
chart. Each ticket results in 5 minutes of laps during recess. If
poor choices are continually being made, a phone call is made or a
note goes home. (The same behavior as the warning does not have to
be exhibited before any of the other shapes are added.) |
