Army JROTC Classes



ROTC is much more than wearing a uniform. Not only are the classes fun but you learn a lot about yourself and others. Here are some of the things you will learn while taking ROTC classes:

Junior/3rd Year Cadet


Leadership Application, Planning, and Strategies
Lead Others (Normally run the unit with the seniors)
Presentation Skills
Managing Conflicts
Planning Skills
Social Responsibility
Financial Planning
Critical Thinking in Citizenship

Senior/4th Year Cadet



Assistant Teaching
Leadership Principals
Lead Others (Run the unit)
Financial Planning
Staff work - planning events
Personnel, Supply, Operations, and Public Affairs


In addition to the above classes, most cadets are involved in an annual Service Learning project. Last year cadets created the Teachers Emergency Folders. Not only did they learn about how the county and school handles situations, they also provided a valuable service to the school.

Also, cadets complete the Cadet Challenge which is part of the President's Physical Fitness Program.

Completion of two years of JROTC counts for 1 credit of Life Management and 1 credit of PE.
